Nice place to see the animals on a safari, otherwise a bit bare around the resort, there's a lot of tree plantations around, but they are wrapped to protect them so not much around there. They were not good with communication prior to our arrival, which is a shame as you have to be in contact with them to get on the Island. we Lost a lot of time having to wait for the ferry for hours in a place where's there's nothing around there. This was due to their poor communication. The staff at the island tried to make it up but there's nothing really you can do to make up the waisted time. An upgrade is nice gesture but could be done anyway when the resort is almost empty. Staff were nice on the Island. It's a long drive from abu dhabi and even longer from Dubai, but a good trip if you have not been on safari in africa, then it's a good alternative, even tough nothing like the real experience in Tanzania or Kenya. Nothing much to do in the resort or around , there's no nature or nature trails you could go on your own, no fishes or any life in the sea in front of the villas, you can go for swim though. you need to book and pay for anything you want to do. But the safari I think was worth it if you enjoy seeing animals.
