Unarguably the best location to explore Cradle Mountain. The shuttle passes nearby, there are short walks directly accessible from the lodge, and the rooms are big and clean - we booked one with bathtub and jets and it was really relaxing after a day of walking. Wildlife can be spotted on the grounds! So excited to see the wombats and wallabies!||We stayed on 3 Dec 2023. Checked in around 4+pm and had dinner reservations for 7.30pm. ||Service was really lackluster. From check-in to dinner, there was one notable staff member - Anna, who works in the restaurant- who exuded grace and lovely hospitality towards us. Reception was ok but a far cry from being warm - we had mistakenly brought out bags to reception to check-in and were made to feel silly because, “you drive to the lodge. We have no lodges here at reception”. Staff failed to put our order through at dinner and we waiting almost an hour for food - Anna was the one who apologized so sincerely even though she was not our server. ||Also note the lodges have no WiFi and tv. ||Would I recommend this place? Yes. Only because the location is superb and wildlife spotting is great. I don’t know if you can find something better at this price with this much access but if you can, go!
