Fantastic old Pub but what a ‘let down’ with the extremely slow service of meals, and the service received from whom appeared to be the manager for the evening. Within 5 minutes of ordering three meals and two entrees, two of the main meals arrived. When we asked if we could have our entrees first, we were advised that they had been given to someone else in error. With the other two meals almost finished, we went in and asked again about our entrees and main meal, we were curtly advised that they were still not ready, so we requested a refund for the main meal (who wants to sit by themselves to eat when you have gone out for dinner as a group of three). Refund provided and the young waitress instructed very curtly by the manager to follow me to my table to retrieve the meal that they had just placed on the table, literally a minute earlier. End result, no dinner for one person, entrée served well after the main course had been eaten by two and the added humiliation of being followed to my table to have a dinner taken away that has after a long delay, been served. Character of the Pub 10/10 Customer Service 1.5/10 Will we return, probably not. Was it our error, most certainly not. Were we treated as if it was, most definitely yes! Richmond Arms – 2 December 2023 Added: Interestingly enough, we placed very fair feedback on a post on their Facebook page to find the next day, that it had been deleted. Always a concern when a Social Media Platform does not allow a feedback page, and then additionally deletes comments and feedback that they don’t like. This post on Google has only been posted due to the deletion of the social media post.
