Just a one night stay this week but a delightful stay. Everything about this place is top notch and because its such a new fit-out, everything is still shiny and in very good condition. ||The building is absolutely gorgeous and very sympathetically reconditioned from its heritage outside (almost too discretely, the signage is very muted!). Emily, who checked us in, walked us to our room as well, her service was terrific. We should have taken up her offer to explain the lights to us (more about that in a moment).||The room is absolutely beautiful -very high quality art, linen and toiletries. The bed was huge and very comfortable and the room was very quiet (although I think the hotel was also not busy). We had a small cake included which was delicious and non-alcoholic drinks are also included as is breakfast (which was delicious although pretty standard for a hotel of this type) and an evening cocktail hour. Its a high room rate however everything feels very good quality. ||The pool was lovely, didn't use the gym, it did look good. The only slight issues- not deal breakers but just to mention - I always want a toilet brush in the loo - and so I always mention it in a review when there isn't one. When I share a room with my other half, I don't want to leave the toilet in a unpleasant condition for the other person.||And the tech for the lights is very fancy -almost more than it needs to be -a low level light came on at 3am when I wandered into the toilet but then I couldn't work out if it would turn off on its own or if I needed to turn it off myself and then I was worried if I hit a switch, I would flood the room with full on light -I should have taken up the offer of the light tutorial! And parking is very expensive -even by Sydney standards - $120!||However, overall, while the high room rate means that this is not an everyday event (at least for me), I certainly enjoyed my one night stay and would be happy to stay here again and will be asking for this for a gift in the future

Wow - what a great stay! Three night here with the kids and highly impressed. The design team has done a phenomenal job on restoring a beautiful building into a spectacular hotel. The décor is superb...sophisticated , elegant yet casual and welcoming without at all being stuffy. Arrival was swift and our bags taken. The room itself was just lovely and so beautifully thought out. Spacious, high ceilings, wonderful bed & bedding, fantastic bathroom and comfy sofa. What surprised me most was how child-friendly the hotel was...kids biscuits on arrival, kids menus, kid sized robes etc. Food was high quality at breakfast and dinner at the Brasserie was excellent. Great pool area and the Lounge was a great place to sit and relax too. This might be my new favourite Sydney Hotel. It's only real rival is the Park Hyatt where I have stayed several times whose location cannot be beaten, but the service here was better.
