Meriton Suites World Tower, Sydney

If you’re travelling from outside of Australia, it’s useful to know that this isn’t a five star property like you would find in Europe or Asia. We had suspected this before we booked so we managed our expectations accordingly. It is, by international standards, 4 star at best. ||The apartment was very well suited to our needs, travelling with a 15 month old baby, however we did have to pay 100AUD for our 10 night stay for a travel cot which was not the best quality but did the job. We were surprised at the charge given this doesn’t seem to be the norm across the hospitality industry in our experience (and certainly not for 5 star establishments). ||The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the views are fantastic. The apartment is an excellent size and reasonably well equipped. Beautiful artwork adds a nice touch. The location is very central for easy access to most things in Sydney. Great shopping and food facilities in the world tower building itself. The majority of staff were super friendly and very helpful. ||Cleanliness needs to be improved, especially in corners or shelves in wardrobes which had lots of dust. Mould needs to be removed from showers using some bleach. The rooms need some blinds in the bedroom to block out light which floods in from the sides of the curtains at sunrise. ||We would recommend the meriton world tower for a comfortable, practical and conveniently located stay with families.
