In all our experience at various caravan parks across Victoria (rural and beach side), this one would have to be our least favourite. Aside from the location - excellent access to the beach - there is nothing else that would bring us back here unfortunately. We wanted to love it but there were so many things that disappointed us. The amenities were disgusting – considering they were locked for patrons only – made this even more unacceptable. We have stayed in caravan parks that line the beach and have public access and you are able to eat off the floors, it is that clean – with them being cleaned every 2 hours. Here, no matter what time of the day, before or after the cleaning occurred, it was still dirty, smelly and full of sand. For the amount of people, there just doesn’t seem to be enough amenities either. Never in all my time camping (small and big caravan parks – peak/off peak) have I had to sit and wait for a shower – and let me add, they are all on timers too which is just annoying and unnecessary more than anything – especially when you are trying to wash, dry and dress multiple children. Camp kitchen was dirty and uncared for – I understand this is not just a management issue but patrons too (but they are following the lead). And finally, the noise coming from some camp sites at all hours of the night – loud music etc. just made things unpleasant. Never have we had the kids waking up saying they can’t sleep from all the noise. There is just a general sense of disrespect and selfishness from everyone involved. Glad we experienced it but we won’t be back.

We came here with a group for the first time. Enjoyable stay. The camp kitchen was excellent and next to the kids play area. Kids loved the jumping pillow. Close to beach. Very difficult to get a good campsite as more than 50% are permit holders apparently so all the nice grassy areas are often booked out. We were in the Grove which was more dirt than grass. Only one kitchen sink in this part for the whole area and 3 showers. Very noisy next to the road in the mornings and when Torquay pub has an event going on. Other than those things we did enjoy our stay and will be back, hopefully on a more grassy site if we can get in!
