Upon entering the room, it felt more like a hostel dormitory than a proper hotel room. The beds were uncomfortably close to each other, resembling a double bed, and the top mattress felt like nothing more than a thin sheet draped over a cardboard box. Attempting to get a good night's sleep was an arduous task, given the uncomfortable sleeping conditions. The hygiene standards in the room were questionable at best. The toilet was unusable due to a foul smell (prior to any of us using it), and its size was comparable to that of an airplane toilet. The overall atmosphere of the room was unclean and left us feeling uneasy throughout our stay. It was truly a challenge to find any semblance of comfort in such conditions. Adding to the disappointment was the lack of options for preparing meals. This subpar dining experience was a far cry from the standards one would expect from a hotel, even from a budget establishment. Moreover, the hotel's location proved inconvenient, requiring an Uber ride to the city every time we needed something as it was not within walking distance of any amenities. This added an extra layer of inconvenience to an already underwhelming stay. What baffled us the most was the pricing of the hotel. Despite the hostel-like conditions, the rates did not reflect the basic standards of comfort one would expect. I couldn't help but compare it to other accommodations, such as my significantly cheaper 5-star hotel, which offered a vastly superior experience which we left Ibis for. The beds felt like laying on cardboard, and the entire room exuded a musty, damp smell. Even the bathroom, which lacked a sink, emitted a foul odor that was immediately noticeable upon entering. It's safe to say that my stay at Ibis was a regrettable choice, and I strongly advise potential guests to consider alternative accommodations that better align with their expectations and budget.
