I spent 5 nights at these suites and loved it. I was in a one bedroom suite in the south north block I believe. I can’t remember the room number but it was next to the rubbish chute room and on a higher floor. I was expecting being next to a rubbish chute was going to be an issue but surprisingly it wasn’t. On entering the suite I was amazed at how spacious it was with a fantastic balcony. There was a kitchen area to the right and a little separate reading area with a desk to the left. I think this was the second largest suite I stayed in on this month long trip. The suite also had a washing machine and dryer which I took advantage of. I asked for a clothes horse (drying rack) and this was delivered promptly. The suite was very clean and well maintained. Due to the stormy weather I didn’t get much use of the balcony which was disappointing. The suites are within walking distance (5 minutes at the most) of a shopping centre which housed a supermarket. You can easily walk to Green Square train which takes you into central Sydney within minutes. I had considered getting the train from the airport to the suites but with 2 overweight luggage, I’m so glad I didn’t but it really is walkable. There is a gym on the complex which unfortunately I didn’t get to visit. The reception staff were extremely helpful especially the English girl (Hannah?) who assisted me when I had problems with the safe. The suite was so lovely it was a complete joy to stay there. The location for me was perfect. I don’t always like being right in the centre of the hustle and bustle of a city. Zetland isn’t so far away from the CBD that you feel isolated and it’s such a short journey to Circular Quay where you can get the various ferries and the bus to Bondi beach. I had never heard of Meriton Suites prior to researching hotels for this trip. I’m so glad I took a chance and made a booking. If I’m ever in Sydney again, I won’t be staying anywhere else.
