Really old rooms smelling of damp and mould. A separate annexe to the main chateau and not even renovated to match the style. No staff or services on site. No breakfast, bar or gym. A truly horrendous experience.

Well, this hotel is in fact a mere annex to the château further down the hill and rather closer to the lake. You will end up staying here if, like me, you think you're booking a cheaper room in the main hotel. There is nothing wrong with it - the room was comfortable and includes a balcony. The Manoir is very quiet and in fact no staff are on site except for housekeeping in the midmorning. An excellent inclusive breakfast is served in the château and free tea and coffee is available on a self-service basis in foyer of the Manoir.
