Delightful old school hotel that is in excellent condition, from the spacious high-ceiling lobby, bar and restaurant, to the beautiful tiled floors and period architectural details. The rooms continue this theme except the beds are modern and very comfortable and the air con and WiFi are good. The rooftop pool and bar are a great place to recharge after touring the old town. The Fera Palace is located an easy walk from the historical center with lots of restaurants and live music. Six-stars to Luiz the concierge who is a standout! Everything from arrangements pre-visit, to helpful advice and restaurant reservations, combined with kindness, patience and humor, he made our visit to Salvador extra special.

We got into this hotel after escaping from an horrble apartment we rented. We booked the best room, a cornerstone suite on 6 floor. If you like historical hotels this should be your choice. Hotel is a century old and renewed few years ago. The pitfall aren't in the hotel but outside where is a mixture of old crumbing buildig aside the historical area of Pelorinho. The staff is excellent everyone is helpful with a special mention to Luciana the receptionist. The room is of course very well appointed and with a huge bathroo and with perfect housekeeper. Nice rooftop with the pool. I don't unferstand people complaining because this area is for exclusive use of the residents, do they like crowd? Space is limited and I don't like to share with outside and unknown non guests. Breakfast is on the restaurant Omi on the graundfloor, is buffet only on the weekends otherwise is served. Last but not least Daniela, the hotel director, a friendly lady the pampered us for nin days. We wil be back next time in Salvador.
