While I have enjoyed staying at Monte Pascoal Praia Hotel in the past, my last stay was marred by the absence of a smoke detector in my room. Nice location, good service, friendly staff, clean hotel. Breakfast is different from Western standards, with lots of food that you'd normally have for dinner and no pastries but plenty of cakes. Worst thing about this hotel is the rather poor WiFi.
