Had a great stay. This is quite a grand, old place. It has been nicely renovated. Check in was smooth. Tyler upgraded the room and gave a late check out. Elevators worked great. My corner room was very big and clean. Nice and dark in the morning. It was quiet overall, with very little street noise which didn't bother me. Bed was great. Wifi, heat, TV, shower, lights, outlets, etc. all were excellent. The room was beautiful and had three big windows. Great views of the Legislature, Playhouse, etc. The lobby is gorgeous with the big staircases, Christmas decorations, etc. I had buffet breakfast as part of my package and it was superb, with good service. Didn't use the pool or hot tub but I did check them out and they are very nice. Parking was easy (it was part of my package and I got pass to use at the gate). I want to mention Penny at the front desk as she was also very helpful and made sure I got my "Downtown Fredericton Bucks" that were part of my package. I paid about $200 for a Friday night (two queens) and it was well worth it. The location of the Lord Beaverbrook can't be beat.....close to all the famous Fredericton sites. During nice weather it would be fun to sit out on the back patio overlooking the little garden and the river. This famouse old hotel has character and charm, and I highly recommend it.

This was a great place to stay. Ken, who works on the front desk was friendly and helpful. Kayleigh, who works in the pub Joyce's was excellent as were Kennedy and James who work in Maxwell's. The only complaint we have is that we went for a quiet dinner at Maxwells on our last night there, but it was any thing but quiet or peaceful. There was a large group sitting very close to us who were extremely loud and used a good deal of profanity. It took the pleasure out of our planned celebratory quiet evening. We were not the only patrons who were bothered by the noisy group as I spoke with other patrons who were also not pleased by the noise and language that came from the large group sitting nearby.
