The Hilton is certainly not the nicest or the cheapest place to stay in Saint John. Even the pleasant and helpful staff can not make up for the fact that the rooms really need renovating, the a/c didn't really work. The room was warm and stuffy and then to finally get stung with a $57 parking charge for the two night stay was the final straw ( check the small print before booking). If you have to stay in Saint John I would seriously recommend The Delta just over the road. A beautiful hotel, great staff and free parking. Sorry Hilton but you are a serious disappoint.

Rooms haven’t been renovated in 15 years plus. Went to restaurant and a huge mouse crawled out of the seat and ran up my leg. Scared me to death. Waitress asked what was wrong and didn’t believe my story when a second mouse crawled out of the chair. We left and while walking in the connected Market Place another rodent pretty near ran us over. Place has a rodent problem. Went to the room and heard something in the middle of the night in our bathroom so I closed the door. In the morning the wall panel was open to the piping in the building so I can only guess what may have made the noise. Slept barely at all because I didn’t feel great about all this. Told the waitress and she said do we still want to eat there?Told front desk and the lady didn’t seem surprised and did nothing. Disappointed.
