Most Disturbing Experience in Colombia. I would never think a hospitality business Hotel Hotel Egina Medellin would host my worst experience ever. I walked over to the hotel to visit my brother to provide him with some water and support as he was recovering from a medical condition. When I arrived at the hotel and I tried to explain to them the situation. They proceeded to enforce a two-guest policy stating I was unable to go upstairs to simply check on him for 5 minutes. The situation escalated as security and the staff forcibly try to remove me from the hotel and call the police. I understand business policy and rules and I respect them, but this is a matter of moral and life policy. A manager should have the ability to display a moment of empathy and provide a solution as a hospitality business where your customers should be supplied with the best experience. Yet, I was met with force, harsh words and the worst experience in my 4 years visiting Colombia. Colombia has introduced me to some of the nicest most heart felt people in the world but the management and staff working that night was an outlier to the public. I would never recommend any of my fellow travelers from around the world to stay at this hotel. In Laureles area of Medellin they have plenty of other option to offer.

Hotel nice in a good area everything is near by but the noise at night from the nearby clubs and the chiva with mega loud music passing thru the front of the hotel every hour is unbelievable and in the mornings the cars and dogs barking all morning is crazy I been here 5 days and have not been able to sleep at all. The only good thing is bars and restaurants are nearby besides that you wont be able to sleep they need soundproof windows. The breakfast is not good at all im paying for breakfast and have not been able to eat they don’t have a variety is whatever they serve you that day. They only have eggs, bread and thats it they need to get better breakfast for their guests. Besides that the staff is very nice but seriously the noise is crazyyyy…..
