Came away with my best friend for a few nights. The hotel is a mix of old and new in the fact some parts need a bit of attention and some parts are lovely and new looking. This didn’t impact on our holiday and have only marked it down by one because of this everything else was perfect. The staff are absolutely wonderful, all go out of their way to look after you. Aziz who worked in the bar was wonderful. The waiters in the dining room are also amazing. The food is absolutely gorgeous. Very fresh and lots on offer. The animation team were absolutely outstanding and such a lovely group. Our sea view room was perfect and always clean. The pool areas inside and out are lovely. Indoor pool area seems a bit tired but it’s still nice. The beach isn’t nice outside the hotel, in fact we walked to Paphos Harbour and didn’t see any nice beaches. Wasn’t massively impressed with Paphos itself but we would return to this lovely hotel lots of fun, great food and pretty surrounding within the hotel grounds. Great cocktails and champagne too! X
This was our first visit to Cyprus and certainly won’t be our last! |We picked this hotel mainly on the good reviews and have to agree, this is one of the friendliest hotels we have stayed at. We flew EasyJet through TUI and the flight was less than half full, so we moved to extra legroom seats - we were the only ones on this flight for TUI so had a taxi from the airport instead of waiting about for a coach.|On arrival, which was around 9pm, we were directed straight to the restaurant for an evening meal then we went to our room.|Rooms are of adequate size - ours was on the 2nd floor overlooking the main pool, with a partial view of the sea. The bed was fairly comfy, we slept well. No air-con this time of year and we found it quite warm throughout the hotel even though the weather wasn’t hot. |Cleaning staff kept the room clean and tidy, replacing bottled water every day. On arrival we did find our kettle was broken and there were ants in the bathroom, but we reported these to reception and they were soon rectified with the minimum of fuss.|Food is excellent - some of the best we have had. Plenty of options to choose from and very tasty, with a different theme every night - my only (very small) complaint is that it could be kept a bit warmer. |Drinks at the bar were very good - beer / wine was drinkable (and we have had some terrible AI drink experiences). Cocktails are a bit hit and miss - some are quite pleasant, others not so much. |The hotel was very quiet which suited us. It did begin to get a bit busier as the week went on, however I should imagine that during high season the bar and restaurant could be bedlam!|Finally, we have to praise the entertainment team. They were absolutely brilliant and are the reason people come back to this hotel time and again. They work so hard to make your holiday special, and you can take part as much or as little as you wish. With quizzes and competitions during the day, and live singing and dancing at night, and yet they still find time to chat to the guests and are the friendliest bunch of humans! Special mention for Ryan - what a lovely talented young man he is - even taking the time to come and wave goodbye on his day off!! |So thank you, Louis Phaethon Beach, for a fabulous holiday - we are already looking at returning and bringing friends along!!
