We've been there for a nice lunch between Christmas and new year. Reservation by phone was without any problems. The service was friendly and fast, the menu promising. The restaurant was not really busy, still the food took its time. The food itself was OK, but not exciting. The meat dry and the risotto missed some spices and was rather flat in taste. Presentation also OK but can be improved.
The hotel is location is amazing at the edge of the national park. The restaurant at the hotel is great for authentic German food. Little pricey though. The rooms we got were a bit dated, the blinds did not worked if you accidentally pull it up all the way up. The hotel staff fixed it for us quickly. Biggest problem is thin walls.. if anyone keeps an alarm in the floor you will wake up with them. And can listen to everything your neighbors are talking about...
