My friend and I stayed at Cucuve for one night. We read the great reviews, and we wanted a higher quality stay for our last night in the Galapagos. Service: The service was great. They let us have an early check-in as we arrived into town a couple hours before we expected. Breakfast is included, but we weren’t able to enjoy it as we had an early flight out of the Galapagos back to Quito. Outdoor Terrace: As part of the stay, you are able to use a private terrace next to the water, that is located a couple blocks from the hotel. We had spent a couple days in the town already, so we decided to relax and enjoy the scenery at the terrace for a few hours. For those excited to see wildlife, there were about 20-30 marine iguanas sun bathing at the terrace during our visit. Definitely a great place to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the island. Room: We booked the “Premium Room, Terrace” (a room with a king bed and outdoor balcony, which included a hammock). The room was very spacious and we had ample space for our two backpacks and two carry-on luggages. The room included a ceiling fan and AC. The bathroom was spacious and super clean. Although it is a bit more expensive, the hotel is in a great location and includes great amenities. If you prefer doing land-based tours over the cruises and don’t mind spending a little bit more on lodging in Puerto Ayoro, I would highly recommend booking with Cucuve for your upcoming stay!
