Well, based on others people reviews I decided to take a risk even though some reviews were not great. I thought they might be biased or who knows. Either way, I decided to spend a good amount of money to go there with wife and kids. At the rate of 1000E a day for two rooms. I'd say is ok for a price, not cheap, but ok, if it was a 5 star. The problem is this is not a 5 star hotel, and I have been in a few. Reception. - after a long trip we get there to find a queue in the reception, but two tables free. When we asked in those tables, they sent us to the reception, as these tables were only for booking at the restaurants (which were already all boked). Really? thats the intro you give to clients, as they get to your 5 star hotel? clearly you have a terminal there where you can attend clients. Well high season and only two receptionist. When we did the checkin then one guy took us to the room. He didnt even bother to get a trolley, and we had to take the luggage between all of us. Well he carried two suitcases. Bathroom. - not even aftershave kit, of bucal higiene? You'd think for a 5 start you will have that in your room and not having to ask for one, and wait for another 30-40 minuttes to receive it. When it got there wasnt even a hotel kit branded, but a generic cheap buy 50 in Amazon. I wouldnt use that shaving cream on my face, so end up using soap. Restaurant. Its summer so no question is hot everywhere, but the only place we could eat was packed, and they set us in the terrace where it was literally boiling, covered of course, but not even a fan? Pools. Yes not even this was good. Nice pools? of course, the hotel is georgous, but thats it. Instead of giving you towels as you need, you exchange for a card, that if you dont return they will charge you. So basically you have to be all over the place with the towel, or getting back the card etc. Really? never seen this in 5 star hotel, may be in a bed and breakfast. Even in my public gym, they give you a towel and then you just disposse it. Then find a chair, yeah right. The list of rules in the pools is up to 50 lines in the panel, one of them being, you cant reserve chairs. Well my daughter and I got there, with our towels, and every chair was taken, by a towel, not a person. I asked the guy, and he said that even though that is not allowed, that we have another pool right above, and we could go ask the guy there, tell him he sent us, and he will get us a chair. So, people get their chairs, go to lunch, or even to their rooms, and keep the chair reserved, leaving a towel and book? Imagine the hotel 100% full, and not even applying their own rules. It was a mess!! we end up laying on the grass, as a protest. He didnt even approach. Room Service I end up having lunch one day staying at the room, when the family went to the restaurant. So I order room service, a simple pizza. Not only I end up paying 28E, including 6 Euro room service, but they took 45 min late, and couldnt even eat a 1/4 of it. The worse pizza I ever had in my life. I asked for an iron, so I can iron some pants, otherwise I couldnt go into the restaurant, rules which I agree. They took 3 hours, after two calls. Managed to get on time though to dinner. Every restaurant and everything you consume inside is overpriced beyond logical. The restaurants were ok, good even, but not for those prices. The services at the table was bad, inefficient and slow. Pretty much asked three times for a bottel of water, didnt get the bill after asking another three times. And in another ocasion end up paying when leaving and they stopped me at the door. Clearly I was looking for that. So, NO its a big NO, I wont be going to this place ever more. Its beatiful, but basically is a very expensive botanic garden. I have been in many 5 stars and all over, this is and overpriced 4 at best. As final Note, I see management replied to many of these complaints, in previous posts, but I realized that are the same as mine, so clearly they are doing nothing to improve.
