Pros: 1. Location. It’s 10 minutes walk from the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba. Cons: 1. The room is small and fully occupied by the bed. 2. There is no trash can in the room so any waste is thrown in the corner of the room. There is one trash can in the bathroom but it’s tiny and gets full quickly. When I asked for a trash can I’ve been told to go and throw trash in the can in the lobby (which is inconvenient to do it often). 3. The bathroom is too small and tight. 4. The bed sheets WERE NOT CLEAN. I removed the bed cover and the sheet had small, thick hair on it and dust (or perhaps dead skin as we shed a few when asleep). It looked as if the previous travelers had some intimate time and the same sheets kept unchanged. I got absolutely disgusted, reported the issue to the receptionist who came in the room to check. The receptionist did not speak English, upon showing him the hair he tried to “brush it off” with his hands, as if the problem would be solved that way! I asked for room service to change the sheets. He told me there isn’t any at this time. Eventually, he gave me clean sheets. I also have reported the issue to another receptionist the next day (who spoke English) and they didn’t seem willing to do much, also said there is no room service at the moment. I showed him the pictures and he said “oh, I see, did you get clean sheets?”. He agreed that the sheets were dirty, and justified it as “they must be kept somewhere not so clean after washing”. I didn’t argue his point, but why would a hotel keep sheets in a dirty place after doing the laundry? It’s not very convincing. I know there are some properties who don’t clean some sheets especially if some travelers stay a single night only. I’ve been traveling for over 2 months and crashing into hostels. I finally book a hotel for a couple of nights to treat myself and the quality I got was worse than hostels! Expectations: clean comfortable bed that’s ready to be slept in without a hassle. I don’t think I’m asking for much. I should have paid €36 for two nights in a hostel instead of this €109.80 that I paid for this hotel. 5. Not to forget to mention that the BED WAS NOT COMFORTABLE. I woke up on both days with body pain. 6. Also the room is COLD especially at midnight (3° C), to the point I woke up. Apparently there is no heater. 7. There is so much empty space on the wall they could have filled it with a full length mirror at least. I haven’t had that good night sleep I was hoping for, giving the fact that I escaped hostels in hopes to get it, but my experience was anything but comfortable, utter disappointment and a waste of money.
