Charming inn owned by family winery. South edge of town right on the main road to La Guardia. Difficult to miss. Very brightly lit at night. We arrived after 1800 so we were given very clear instructions via email on how to check ourselves in. Convenient free parking just across the street. We had booked two rooms - one was sizeable, the other one was really small; both at the same rates and very traditionally decked out. Our room had an angelic fresco above the bed! There are no lifts so we had some difficulty with our bags. Housekeeping was very good and bedding quite comfortable. Aside from the dining room on the ground floor where continental breakfast is served each morning, there’s a common living room and kitchen for the use of the guests. Need to note that they serve the BEST olive oil for your morning toasts. Checking out after two night meant just dropping off the keys at the counter of the wine shop behind the dining room. For someone looking for more lifestyle comfort, luxury amenities and CRM, they should go down the street to the premium Hotel Marqués de Riscal, with a budget to match. |
