We were impressed by the location just next to the Alhambra. We got a standard room which was more than sufficient and size was fine. The hotel was well maintained with great views. Air con/heating odd - kept heating at a high temp but eventually got temp down with open windows at night, maintenance couldn't fix. Casual food cafe offering even in late October was held outside on terrace which meant most customers in coats - you could eat inside but waiters tended to stay on the terrace. It would be a useful customer service if they pointed out the main ( indoor ) restaurant has a broadly similar menu as the cafe - or offered all the cafe menu in the main restaurant. Special mention to Irina on reception who was very helpful, and when no taxis could be had she rang an off duty taxi driver friend to get us transport.

I am a big fan of paradors, particularly those in historic buildings. This one did not disappoint. Located within the Alhambra, it is perfect for strolling around after the crowds of tourists have left for the day. The rooms were very comfortable with great views, the service was good, and the food very good. There was a salad with winter (or forest perhaps) fruits that was so good, I had it two days in a row.
