Wow! Spectacular hotel, grounds, and location overlooking the town. Really feels like you're staying in a castle, but with all the modern amenities. Be sure to walk to the cross overlooking the cathedral!
What a stunning property and location! We had a beautiful stay whilst at the Parador, the room was beautifully appointed with amazing views over the valley. The castle and gardens were so interesting and beautiful and I thoroughly recommend walking along the ramparts overlooking the city after dinner. The food at dinner was great and we upgraded a couple of dishes from what was included in the bed and board. Breakfast buffet was also delicious, no complaints. Loses a star for two reasons. The first one was that the pool closes at 8pm and doesn't open again until you have to have checked out which meant we didn't have a chance to really use it which was disappointing. The second reason is that the restaurant/bar staff were quite functional/utilitarian and it reminded us that we were in a government run facility rather than an international standard luxury hotel. They weren't unfriendly, just a bit wooden and emotionless.
