We considered staying in the Algeciras area for our day trip to Gibraltar and for our ferry ride to Morocco. Last minute we switched to Vista Real. So glad we did. The area was more quiet, open and safe. Still within about a 30 minute drive to both Gibraltar Algeciras. Our apartment has lots of room and was very clean. Perfect for our family of four. The pool was refreshing, clean and enjoyable. You need a car if you are staying here as there did not appear to be easy access to public transportation and not much is around. The only thing that could be improved would be to update the rooms. They felt a little outdated. Otherwise, all was great. We would stay here again.
This apartment was roomy, clean and quiet through the week. In the weekend it was full of families with kids who came back at 11 or 12 at night after dinner and were noisy. That was too bad. The pool is well maintained and large. Balconies are spacious with good furniture. Wifi is excellent. There even was a free washer but just a few small lines to dry on the balcony. We stayed for 6 days and felt right at home.
