Tucked into the heart of San Sebastián with boardwalk access to La Concha lies Villa Favorite which is aptly named given the gorgeous views, intricate hand painted walls, and beautiful touches making this place truly a favorite of mine. Arrival at this hotel was simple with clear instructions on where to pull up to the hotel. After bringing our bags inside, we were greeted by friendly staff who whisked our car away to a garage and then we were brought on a tour of the hotel.||We received a welcome drink of our choice at the bar which was delightful and were able to walk to old town for dinner which was only a 15 minute walk. The hotel is truly stunning, and every single detail has been thought of. The rooms are beautiful with unique details, and the hotel has a wonderful mix of technology to combine the old and new.||The service at this hotel is impeccable, and probably the best service we have ever had at a hotel. The best example I can provide is that there was a power outage the day we checked in, and when we were shown to our room, it was a bit warm. Our hotel staff immediately recognized this without us mentioning it and called the electrician to fix it, and our room quickly cooled down. When we mentioned it later to the staff, it was only then that they shared the details. They truly anticipate the needs of their guests, and when staying here, it is a complete joy.||Breakfast was also lovely and we sat outside and watched the world go by after a morning stroll along the beach. We were here during off season and it was still warm, but the beaches were empty. When it was time to check out, the process was simple and we were shocked to find that the hotel staff had already pulled our car up which was waiting for us directly outside. Our entire stay was perfection, and we hope to be back one day!

This is how a hotel stay should be. From the minute you arrive, you know the place is special. Genuinely warm, friendly and hospitable staff who are totally dedicated to your experience. The welcome cocktail on the terrace was an especially nice touch. Rooms are beautifully furnished with quality fittings, sumptuous bedlinen and unimpeded views over Bahía de La Concha.||The housekeeping staff are like ninjas- we enjoyed immaculately clean rooms but hardly ever saw them! But when we did, they were super friendly as were all the staff.||The bar is chic, and on fine days you can enjoy your drinks on the terrace overlooking the bay.||The location of the hotel is ideal. Directly in front of the beach, and a short walk to the old town to enjoy the superb local pintxos and wine. (Ask the staff for the excellent pintxos recommendations.)||Breakfast is leisurely with a nice selection of options. We didn't dine in-house, but if you choose to, it is a Michelin starred restaurant.||Small, chic and effortlessly professional. We'd go back in a heartbeat.
