We had a great stay at this historic hotel. The staff were amazing from beginning to end. We had great service from Jaime Gomez, with his big smile, and he looked after us very well at Ena and Thomaz Figueira at the Front desk, who was very informative and helpful together with his colleagues. The room was lovely and we had a great view over the historical buildings. Breakfast was sumptuous with a large buffet of hot and cold items available with items to order. The bar was pleasant with a great selection of cocktails. The hotel had all the necessary added extras that elevated it above the usual five class hotel standards one would expect. The whole building was elegant sumptuousness in design. one of the nicest towels that I have stayed in and I will definitely be back as the city was beautiful to walk around in with lots more things that we will be able to do in the future.

Incredible hotel, amazing breakfast!! Rarely provide reviews but this hotel deserves all 5 stars. Fantastic location and so pleased we took friend’s recommendation. Even if you can’t stay, a trip to the cocktail bar or afternoon tea in the courtyard is a real treat.
