We stayed for one week as a couple along with my parents.||The hotel grounds are beautiful and the wildlife is abundant; the vulture feeding is a must.||We booked a superior room and would definitely recommend doing so as these were renovated, very large rooms and although still basic looked much better than what we saw in passing of the standard rooms (which looked extremely small).||The rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff were lovely; we had no issues such as those mentioned previously in items going missing and we used the safe for all valuables.|There is a hairdryer and a fridge in the room (not stocked) but no tea/coffee making facilities. |All in all perfectly usable and comfortable.||Both pool areas are pleasant, especially the quieter one although it doesn’t get quite as much sun due to the trees. ||On ordering round the pools drinks came quickly. However bar one day the service at the bar/restaurant by the beach was incredibly slow and quite poor at times, but we were in no rush so it didn’t frustrate us!|The food here was really good though and price wise although more than outside we didn’t feel the hotel prices were unreasonable either food or drink wise.|(They took cash or you could charge to your room). |The variety at breakfast is very good. ||The beach is nice; the sea is quite clearly unswimmable in the main and the tides, currents and waves are known to be dangerous. We walked down the beach one day and didn’t have any hassle, the two individuals we were approached by were pleasant and were not difficult when we said we weren’t interested in their offerings (we found this in the main in that the locals were all generally friendly and a polite no thank you was largely accepted with no issue. ||Every staff member we passed was polite and friendly and always took the time to interact even just a hello which we were impressed with.|I want to mention this more so as we felt many of the staff went above and beyond in helping my dad who needs a wheelchair to get about.||On several occasions when my mum was out with him staff members including housekeeping and groundskeepers insisted on pushing his chair up the slope to the main reception (which is really the only incline here - the paths round the resort are good and flat in the main so I would rate it for accessibility if you have such an issue) and without any other motive for doing so.||Special mention also to the lovely bartender at the lobby bar, Mr Modou Bojang, as he very kindly one evening insisted on wheeling my dad all the way back to his room instead of my mum doing it - lovely guy!|John on security at the front is also lovely!||The hotel is fantastic for access to the strip with a wealth of bars and restaurants within easy reach and really good (and cheap) food and drink. ||Other reviews have pointed out some of the less attractive points of the strip however this is nothing to do with the hotel and I can say at no time did any of the points mentioned interrupt our holiday; we interacted with many people out and about during our time and in the main had absolutely no problem.||I would have no issue at all recommending this hotel and our guide on our trips (amazing - message if you would like the recommendation) confirmed it is known as one of the best loved and I can see this as we would absolutely return. So much so my parents are already looking to book again. ||Thanks for a great stay.
The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and extremely well maintained. Gardens are home to some fabulous wildlife . Pools are great too
