This is NOT a four-star hotel. It's located on a busy highway next to strip clubs. The furniture has cigarette burns, door knobs are literally taped to the door, and front desk staff are rude -- with the exception of the bell staff (Chris and Thomas) who are truly wonderful. We're on our honeymoon and stayed in the penthouse suite our first night. It was a sparsely furnished room with a nice view of the Acropolis (no balcony). We then moved to a room with a balcony - it was awful. The balcony looks over a busy, loud highway and the doorknob was literally taped to the door. Even the staff person that was helping us move said they wouldn't stay in that room. We asked to move because it was so loud and we're downgraded to a less expensive room but couldn't get any money back. The location isn't good. It's about a 35 minute walk to downtown but you have to cross a few busy highway on ramps, and pass a few strip clubs. And because they love to nickel and dime you, they charge 20 euros for breakfast and 2 euros per bottle of water.

Absolutely wonderful staff at the front desk; very friendly and very helpful. Everyone spoke English very clearly, as well. The lobby is lovely and there is a bar and breakfast area. The breakfast is delicious, but costs 20 euros per person for guests of the hotel. Our room was large, the shower was nice, and the bed was comfortable, but the bathroom mirror was extremely high and the full length mirror was poorly lit. The AC was controlled by the front desk staff, which was mildly annoying, as it was extremely cold when we arrived, and we had to ask to change the temperature. The location was excellent - about a 5 minute taxi ride to the Acropolis.
