Puerta Azul makes me question why I don’t always stay at boutique hotels. The service was impeccable and Talia helped give recommendations to restaurants, scuba instructors, fishing guides and constantly helped us with our taxis. Talia and her staff make a great breakfast, which was included with our room, and even helped cook our freshly caught fish! She’s very personable and at times felt like she was on our vacation with us. Puerta Azul is a beautiful property with air conditioned ‘casitas’ that were great for couples and families. The rooms were perfectly clean and were recently constructed. They blend into the tropical environment and feel like you’re at a luxury summer camp. The hammocks were a great way to wind down before dinner and the outdoor showers were a nice way to wash off the salt water after a swim from the dock. We loved the multiple areas to lounge, such as the end of the dock to watch the sunset or the couches under the main house to wind down with a drink. The property always feels safe with 24-hour watchmen and we can’t wait to come back and recommend to other friends. Great job Talia!
