My wife and I recently enjoyed a five night stay in Villa Gajah at Mango Tree Villas. It's a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. The villas are very close to the airport (easily less than 30 minute drive) so great if you only have time for a short break. The villas are within easy walking distance of the beach and seafood restaurants in one direction and the traditional markets in the other. Our private courtyard was lush and tranquil, with a large day-bed and a plunge pool. Inside, the villa was well organised and appointed, with a spacious shower cubicle and separate, full-length bath. The bed was very comfy, with a firm mattress. We tried both the Indonesian and continental breakfasts and would recommend both. I should also mention the excellent communication with Andrea, our host, both before and during our stay. Andrea organised a driver to pick us up from the airport and later arranged for the same driver to take us to Uluwatu and back one morning. She also had some great suggestions for our last day, so I'd suggest talking to her if you need some ideas for your stay. The staff were all friendly, helpful and professional. I'll definitely think about returning to Mango Tree when we need a relaxing change of scenery!
