I recently stayed at MERUSAKA Dua in Nusa Dua, and while the hotel has its merits, there are aspects that need attention. First and foremost, it's crucial to highlight that this establishment doesn't quite meet the standards of a 5-star hotel. Upon arrival, the ambiance and amenities seemed promising, yet as I settled in, a few issues came to light. One of the major concerns was the functionality of the air conditioning unit in one of the rooms. Unfortunately, it was not working optimally, making the stay less comfortable than expected… and after many attempts they changed the room. While the hotel offers a budget-friendly option for accommodation, it's essential to manage expectations. The cleanliness of the rooms was acceptable but left room for improvement. Additionally, the service was adequate but lacked the attention to detail that one might anticipate in a higher-rated establishment. The showers were not maintained. On a positive note, the location of MERUSAKA Dua is convenient, providing easy access from the airport. The overall atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff, are ok. Some of them are friendly, some of them are not. Furthermore, the breakfast at MERUSAKA is passable, offering a decent variety of options. However, the breakfast experience itself leaves something to be desired. The seating arrangements and waiting process can be described as a bit of a disaster. Guests often find themselves struggling to secure a comfortable spot, and the overall flow of the breakfast area could benefit from better organization. One notable drawback is the limited indoor seating, which often leads to guests having to eat outside in the heat. While the outdoor setting may be appealing to some, for those seeking a more comfortable dining environment, especially during hotter times of the day, this can be a notable inconvenience. The whole dining area doesn’t have AC. The in room dining however was lovely, and probably the best hotel in room dining I have tried. In conclusion, MERUSAKA is a reasonable choice for those seeking affordability. However, for travelers expecting a true 5-star experience, it's advisable to temper expectations. Addressing issues like the malfunctioning AC and refining room cleanliness and service would undoubtedly enhance the overall guest experience.
