Great hotel and a wonderful stay. The decor is authentically Balinese and this is the hotel in the area that hosts events and the Indonesian president whenever he visits Bali. I don’t agree with the other reviews who say the decor is ‘tired’ - I think it was of a high quality and authentic. The lighting is good too. One thing that stood out about the hotel grounds was the amazing range of trees! Made for a really relaxing and natural setting. Breakfast had a wide range of cuisines and was good, the hotel also had a lot of fun activities going on you could join in with, some included, some extra such as yoga classes, cooking classes, beach lit romantic dinners etc. We did the cooking class at Raja’s restaurant which was a highlight and a moonlit dinner which was very high quality food. Recommend half-board as there are three / four good restaurants to choose from and you get three courses. A few pretty minor points that would improve things even further would be to make more drinking water available (there is some but it’s not easy to find), replace the tired deckchairs by the beach, and the spa staff could be more welcoming to hotel guests who are using the spa pools. (Rather than just welcoming those paying for treatments). The men’s steam room needs fixing too. Overall though, a really enjoyable stay.
