We had a fantastic stay here. We arrived just after 12am. Check in was from 4pm but we thought we’d just ask. Lovely receptionist had a look and found a room that was ready. Brilliant. The room itself was huge (room 4) and spotlessly clean. Wed only booked a basic room and we suspected we’d been upgraded. On checking out I asked if that was the case. A different, equally lovely receptionist told us that our room was the basic one and she was sorry but it was actually a bit smaller than the other rooms because it was in a corner! It was huge! We decided to have breakfast there, which was €12.50 for residents. Worth every cent. We started with granola with fresh fruit and yoghourt, nice coffee and orange juice. Then we both went for the smashed avocado on sourdough with poached eggs, roasted tomatoes and bacon. Just brilliant. So tasty and plenty of it. The waitress was so smiley and lovely. All the staff were. Absolutely couldn’t fault our stay. We both got a great nights sleep in a huge comfy bed. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else now when we visit Donegal town. Oh, and the receptionists called me by my first name when we were checking in and out. I think that’s lovely. Thank you.
