I was only there for one night and didn’t get a chance to take advantage of any amenities, but I really liked the room as well as the hotel in general, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I heard only good things about the bar and the attached restaurant as well. Next time I’m in the area I’d happily stay again, hopefully with more time to explore the area. It’s close to the airport, and to town, but it would be nice to be a little closer to the more populated part of town.

It’s like a grey sentinel in the harsh desolate landscape. It’s still quite far from the nearest town of Keflavik and a 45-minute bus ride to Reykjavik. Most people who stay here are probably taking advantage of its proximity to the airport. Couldn’t say this is cozy but more like an oasis. We arrived on a very early rainy morning but they were very kind to let us check in nonetheless. As Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite members we were given complimentary breakfast. There was no room upgrade as all their rooms were of the same standard size. Given its newness, everything felt clean fresh and inviting in a spartan Nordic way. Bed linens were super comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and functional. Not much of any views. The highlight probably was the generous breakfast offerings - very healthy robust hearty options to bolster oneself against the harsh climate and environment.
