Great reception,Room clean but heavy smell of cleaning supplies,Restaurant -the waiter (older gentleman) did not feel like waiting , brought scampi and watched us try and break it with hands and teeth while we tried to get his attention in order to get the proper tools, beautiful place overall , next door restaurant is a must

The hotel location is stunning and there are many places to relax. Shaded grass and plenty of sunny spots with loungers and parasols. There is a bar down by the beach and a couple of lovely restaurants near by. We had a wonderful meal at the hotel. The food was outstanding and the wine list just fabulous. Breakfast was equally good. The staff could not be more friendly, and helpful. As a summer break when the weather is warm the place must be a real delight. The only thing that let down our break for me was the room. I didn't like the rustic decor. The room was dark and smelt faintly mouldy. The dust was also a really problem making us both cough sneeze and itch. Perhaps in such a historic building its too be expected but I was disappointed.
