It's a real old hotel falsifying its lake view location which was blocked by a cafe right in front. The room is decent but bear with the vintage deco and facilities. The one and only 2 persons lift is a great experience with your languages. The breakfast spread is normal but having water is a privilege in this hotel. Look for hotels somewhere else if you can climb a few steps along the narrow cobble stone alleys.

Great location! The room was small-ish (and had no mini fridge) but quite comfortable, with superb air conditioning and an actual smart TV! The shower pressure was excellent and it could get super hot. We had a balcony room—fantastic! The breakfast was pretty good too, and one staff member even ran outside to get us some soy milk. Overall everyone working there was very friendly and helpful. Plus it has a pool, which is an essential for the summer. This was our second visit to Lake Como, and I must say the town of Bellagio really takes the cake. And for the money, which was pretty reasonable compared to everything else that was available when we booked, Hotel Splendide was one of my favorite all-time stays.
