A disappointing end to our tour of the Italian Dolemites. Staff were unwelcoming, unfriendly, borderline rude. Our room was clean but stuffy and very loud with views of the back bins, not the picturesque views seen in the photos. We were woken at 6:45am by loud loading noises. After having some lovely meals in Cortina, we decided to try the hotel restaurant. I was told I could make a reservation but they needed the table back by 9:15pm which was fine. However we were incessantly reminded of this fact from the moment we arrived until we left. Obviously this did not make our meal an enjoyable or relaxing experience. I ordered the goose confit which was incredibly tough and chewy, not falling off the bone as it should have been. We booked 4 nights with booking.com (prepaid) but ended up leaving 1 night early despite this, our chaotic checkout experience confirmed to me that we’d done the right thing by leaving early and going elsewhere. This is not a cheap place and I was definitely hoping for more.
