What a wonderful place this is! This was our overnight spot while passing through Italy and really recommended to everyone. It is not often you can stay overnight in a castle. We really felt privileged and at an affordable price for two luxury rooms. We were received very friendly and helpful. We were given a tour of the hotel and were also allowed to take a look in the cellars where the wine is stored. And the wine is good! We were proudly told about the local winery and the quality of the wine. We tasted two different wines, both tasted like more. The pool was really a relief after the car ride. Large enough to entertain 5 of us for a while. We chose to have dinner in the village of Fano. We should have prepared that better, because we walked around a bit aimlessly. In retrospect, we should have chosen to eat at the castle because it looked really delicious. The rooms are large, classic but with modern luxuries. The beds were lovely. Breakfast was adequate. Not excessive, but just good. We were well rested and fed to continue our journey again.
