After planning our family trip for more than 12 months we were so excited for our stay in Favigagna. Overcharged Dishonest staff Dreadful communication Rooms dirty No soundproofing from other rooms Overpriced serviced apartment From the moment we made the reservation we were unfortunately met with a horrendous experience - in hindsight, I should have cancelled before our stay and booked somewhere else. The lack of communication, overcharging, lies, cleanliness of our room and the overall noise from the surrounding rooms is astounding beyond belief. Our nightmare of a stay at this venue started with us boarding a flight with my two young children, aged two and five. After following up for five days from Marcus about our airport transfer, we were told that no one was available via text whilst walking into the tarmac. This had previously been confirmed as them organising it directly for us as part of the “service”. We have attempted to contact this venue via phone, their website, WhatsApp, booking.com, and also social media. No one responds. After having no transport pick us up, we were slugged with a €300 taxi to the port of Trapani from Palermo airport otherwise we would miss our ferry - we made it with 6 minutes to spare. After arriving in the venue, we decided to put the first hiccup behind us and just enjoy our time on this beautiful island. Our first night in the venue was horrendous and we were unable to sleep. When I read the reviews prior to our stay where guests had said the noise from other rooms was dreadful. I thought the other guests were perhaps having to high expectations. my husband and I literally could not sleep due to the gentleman next door snoring. I had to play white noise in our room to try and drown it out and we slept with pillows covering our ears. The noise from people walking above is unbearable. You can hear them going to the bathroom and opening and closing the kitchen cupboard doors. Other than the sheet being pulled up on the bed, we were not even sure if the cleaners had cleaned the rooms. The building itself does not look like the pictures it is covered in mould and rust. The property is a serviced apartment, not a hotel. There are however not all serviced apartment facilities. There is no kettle - when I asked how I could make a cup of tea they told me to boil water in a saucepan. They do not provide coffee, salt, pepper, papertowel, hand towels. Finally each apartment has its own hot water unit. Our apartment slept six and we were a family of four. The hot water didn’t last to shower 1 adult and 2 kids so we had to time when showers took place. Finally, we were overcharged for our stay by €338 and the venue refuses to refund us saying we had “extra’s”. This is completely untrue and detailed in our receipt as outlined attached. The only positive of the venue was the pool and bar staff! This venue is absolutely not worth the price tag. It’s a sub par venue at that. I wouldn’t give it 2 stars.
