The Villa Abbamer is a very special place. Situated in a delightful private garden, it is beautiful, relaxing, and spotlessly clean. The staff were so kind and reminded me, once again, why it's easy to love Italy. The villa has great period charm along with every modern convenience. I had several delicious meals there. One of the most unusual things about the villa is the cultural programming: about once a week, they host an event, which might be a music recital, an art show, or a talk. I loved the event I attended. Getting back from a day of sightseeing in Rome and then attending a top-notch presentation: that's my idea of a good time.||||I have traveled a lot and written over thirty reviews; if you take a look, you'll see I'm not shy about complaining. And I can say without reservation that the Villa Abbamer is the nicest place I've stayed.
God bless the day a gracious architect decided to open the doors to his villa to discerning guests wishing to be accommodated in a classy peaceful environment. The rooms are comfortable, breakfast typically Italian - simple yet filling, the common areas tastefully furnished and decorated, the gardens so large and lovely even in winter! Allow me to suggest tea/coffee facilities by the grand piano/television area to encourage guests to hang around and make friends. Stefano went out of his way to reserve a table at a lovely restaurant overlooking the Lago Albano to celebrate my birthday and was ever so helpful and accommodating. I really can't wait to return!
