This hotel is a little gem on the Appian Way! We drove up and held our breath as we were to be staying the major part of our trip. It did not let us down. The room we had in the block by the pool was great and very quiet away from the main building. Basic though quirky and a decent size which also had a dressing room with a desk for your 'IT' facilities. No bath.||The breakfasts were taken outside, plenty of variety - we even counted 30 cakes on one morning! They make their own jams from local produce. We ate in the hotel restaurant most evenings and found the food amazing so why go elsewhere? Although we did discover a lovely restaurant across the road during our second week. The hotel restaurant staff were very polite and helped in whichever way they could.||Our only criticism is that the pool, which is in a nice part of the hotel with lovely views over the mountains, could have been maintained a bit better. Around the edge of the pool the grates had some black mould residue which could easily have been cleaned and on some occasions there was a little litter around. It was a shame as this was the only let down of the whole stay......owner please take note.||We would recommend this hotel if you are in the area.
