We stayed in the newer part of the building, the hotel is very clean, the staff were welcoming and the waitresses were pleasant and polite. The bus stops outside the hotel and 10 minutes into Venice. The breakfast and evening meals were nice and tasty and plenty of choice. The rooms were clean, great shower and very quiet at night. Overall a good experience and we would stay here again. Hotel Lugano Toretta is one of the finest hotels in the Venice Mestre train station area (Just 3 minutes walk) and I highly recommend it to all. We were arriving early (8AM) and they had no issues in storing our luggage so that we could explore the city easily. The check-in process was super smooth and they accommodated the process late in the night as well, something that is not very common in Europe hotels. ||The room was super cozy and had all the essentials that one would need after a full day of travel. The bathroom was squeaky clean and it was the same for their washrooms in the lobby area as well. We needed an electric kettle and some cutlery for some personal use and they provided the same, no questions asked. ||One of the highlights for me was the breakfast spread. It shouldn’t be missed, specially when you plan to spend an entire day roaming around in the Venice island. Multiple kinds of breads, beverages, cold cut meat, freshly prepared sausages, scrambled eggs, fruits, frozen yoghurt; you name it and was there. The service provided by the entire staff was commendable. ||I would visit this hotel only if I ever visit Venice again.
