Sylvia and Felipo are wonderful, KIND people. There was a slight language barrier which made things hard to understand, but they were very patient with us asking them to repeat themselves. They gave us a map and recommended places to see. Showed us how to get around the city using the bus which was literally around the corner from the hotel. The night before we departed, Felipo assisted in calling a private taxi for our early morning departure. They do not have an airport shuttle as noted in the description. It is a taxi that you pay for that is $40. A few things impt to note... we were in a 2 story junior suite. We did not realize the bedroom was on the upper floor. Felipo did point it out to us on the website, which we missed. A bit difficult for older people. Safety is an issue. I know they have beds on the first floor of other units, just not what was available the 2 nights we were there. The safe did not work. Someone fixed it the very next day. The shower was clean, but old and worn. I thought it was dirty initially, but I think just worn down. With that said, the shower was nice and hot with wonderful water pressure. Please note that a hot shower creates condensation on the walls inside and outside of the bathroom. There is an exhaust fan, but it doesn't work very well. So, the walls in the living area and bedroom get quite moist. The 2 bath towels had hair on them from previous use, and were not replaced the day of or the next day. The toilet seat was not secure and was sliding around. We forgot to mention it to Felipo. I am sure it would have been taken care of if we had said something to Felipo. The sink in the bathroom is a designer sink. They are beautiful, but not cleanliness friendly. It is a square shape, so you have to rinse it out with a glass of water. It is not a bowl shape where the water runs down the side to wash away facial hair from shaving. There is no breakfast or coffee in the morning. Some older reviews said that breakfast was offered, that is not the case. There is a beautiful area just inside the front door that can be used for complimentary early morning coffee and croissants. This idea would be a HUGE asset to this property. This is a nice place for a night or two. I feel that my reviews are honest and objective. It is important that visitors see objective reviews. That is why we chose to stay here ourselves😊. Thank you Sylvia and Felipo for a nice stay.
