I always like to preface these reviews by saying that I have travelled extensively around the world way before TripAdvisor and social media from palaces in India to pitching my own tent in the Serengeti. So when I travel, I research extensively and I have certain expectations.||Coming to Positano, I chose Palazzo Murat for their exceptional location which did not disappoint. They were the perfect location, probably the closest to the main beach. Was super convenient for dinner and to get to the beach club ferries. Their porters were also spectacular because they are one of the few hotels that have a parking lot in the Centre of positano, so it’s easy for taxis to drop off and then their porters bring your luggage the 100m or so to the hotel itself.||The views from the room - stunning. Just like what you see in movies. |The shower perfect. Rainhead. Waterfall. Amazing.||So what did I take one for off for?|The staff - they weren’t unpleasant by any means. But coming to celebrate our anniversary I expected maybe petals on the bed or even a welcome drink. ||The room was a little more dated than I thought and the bathroom was a little weird with the bathroom door hitting the toilet if you tried to open it while someone was on it.||Would I stay here again?|Yes.|But I would remember it’s 4 star not 5 star.

The Palazzo is beautiful, the rooms spacious and lovely. The best thing was the location, an oasis of calm in the vibrant Positano and the team at the reception - Roberto and the signora Rosita are just top. The breakfast is just great, varied and generous. Many high quality products to satisfy every taste. We would like to pay a special tribute to Claudio of the Piccolo Murat (Bar) and Nicola of the restaurant Palazzo. Their hospitality, their professionalism and their kindness is priceless!!! 5*L worthy..
