Few minutes walking distance from Roma Termini. The surrounding area where the hotel is located looks sketchy but the grounds inside the fence is well maintained. We stayed here for 6 nights. The common areas are clean and in good condition. The breakfast at the Senses was wonderful. We arrived on last week of December and the hotel from the outside was lit up by Christmas decorations. The room itself could have been better. Ours was along Via Volturno and the noise from the outside can be heard. It's a busy street and the view was not that great. Not worth taking a picture. The junior suite is spacious but the quality of the walls, ceilings, and floors could have been maintained better. The edge of the wall at the door entrance is badly damaged from repeated strikes. The wooden floor at the entrance creaks with every step. One of the wooden steps closes to the bed is loose is moves ever so slightly. No danger of causing an accident but is noticeable. The ceiling above the glass door to the bathroom is poorly finished. Can see cracks in the finish and where the old door hardware used to be. My overall impression is it is a nice hotel but not worth the price.

A few days in Rome found us staying at the Palazzo Montemartini hotel and this proved to be a great place to stay for our time away in this City. A purpose built hotel back in 1881, the Palazzo Montemartini is an elegant and contemporary place to stay and from the moment you enter the grounds through the large metal gates you can tell it is a special place. The interior and public areas of the hotel is incredibly well styled and very in keeping with the high ratings for this hotel. Upon arrival and all through our stay, every member of staff was excellent, welcoming and very friendly. A first class service where nothing was ever too much. Our room was very spacious, well laid out with the modern contemporary styling continued throughout. The hotel is arranged over several floors and at the top is a wonderful roof top bar with views over the city. This is a very nice place to spend some time and on occasion there is also live music which was of a very high standard. All in all we found this hotel to be an excellent place to stay created by the superb staff, its facilities and great location to the city centre and also being immediately opposite the train station. If you are looking for a place to stay in Rome, I feel happy to recommend this hotel based on our experience.
