Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese

Booked a twin room as travelling with a friend. When we got to the room we decided maybe we should each have our own room. The front desk staff were super accommodating and although they were having their computer system upgraded that day which caused them extra work to help us they did not flinch. In fact I was taken to the 6th floor to see some bigger rooms (which were absolutely gorgeous) but in the end we decided to just get an additonal room of the same category.||My room was beautifully decorated, spacious with lots of hanging space and drawers ( I travel with lots of clothes and shop along the way), a coffee maker and tea kettle was provided, water, mini bar etc. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have slept in...some days I didn't want to get up out of it. |Everything was kept spotlessly clean. The bathroom was lovely and a good size.||We absolutely loved the rooftop terrace, had drinks there, lunch another day, all food and beverages were delicious and the view just can't be beat. I have stayed in 4 other locations in Rome and this one is pretty hard to top. |The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious and coffee was very good. We did find some nearby coffee bars for breakfast some days when we just wanted coffee and a cornetto.||Massimo was excellent in booking us great restaurants for dinner, he was unfailingly pleasant and friendly, a real credit to the hotel. The entire staff is a credit to Sofitel, every single person we encountered from the doormen to the wait staff in the restaurant to the front desk staff was helpful, pleasant and kind.|I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.|
