I have nothing but wonderful things to say about grand Hotel Cocumella! My husband and I recently took a trip to the Amalfi Coast to get married in Sorrento before honeymooning in Positano. When planning our elopement, we quickly knew Hotel Cocumella was our dream venue as it had incredible views, an unbeatable location, and beautiful property. The manager, Michele, helped us arrange the details of our elopement ceremony. As planning a ceremony abroad can feel daunting, we had many questions and probably called the hotel too often. However, Michele always responded to our inquiries with patience, and he went out of his way during the hotel's busiest season to coordinate the details of our ceremony. He found us a florist, a violinist, and arranged a private dinner for us. Hotel Cocumella's serene and intimate environment provided the perfect space for our big day!||Our stay at Hotel Cocumella succeeded our expectations. The gardens, suites, and every piece of the hotel are absolutely breathtaking. The staff is welcoming, intentional, and kind. We were sad our stay wasn't longer, but we'll definitely visit again soon. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sorrento!

This hotel has absolutely stunning grounds but the service is lackluster and not five stars. Pros: Incredible location, great private dock and beach (with elevator). Cons: Rooms are old and outdated, and we had a flooding shower. We complained three times before they fixed it. We also had quite a few issues with service. The hotel arranged for pick-up from the train, but when I arrived no one was there. I called the hotel and the concierge said he had no transportation arranged, even though we had emailed back and forth. He claimed I had never emailed him and that I wasn't even booked to stay at the hotel! Absolutely flabbergasted I went to call a taxi, only for him to call me back and be upset that I never gave him my full name. I gave him my first name, and turns out the cab who was there to pick me up had HALF of my last name on a placard. The concierge never apologized and this was really disappointing. Another day at the beach I went swimming only to come back to my drinks being thrown away. I went to the attendant and he claimed it was empty - physically going to the trash can to try to prove his point. Only when he went to the trash can - my drink was full! He ended up not speaking a word and giving me a new one. Overall I couldn't believe this level of service, especially for the price paid. It made the whole stay very uncomfortable.
