I also do not understand the mixed reviews for the Grand Hotel Parco del Sole. Staff courteous, efficient and honest, my wife left a debit card in the bar area, it was returned next morning. The hotel was clean, nice pool area. The food was good, breakfast is breakfast, the morning coffee was a bit thick but one could always order a cappuccino and pick up a lunch bag if out for the day. Lunch there was always pizza and chips but there was always several other choices. The three barbecues a week were good and the other evening meals fine. The entertainment variable, cocktails and Peroni flowed freely. The balance of number of guests v restaurant / bar seating, pool lounges was the best I have experience for this class of hotel, only once did we have a slight wait for a table on a barbecue night, there was never the queue for the breakfast rush hour. Pleasant well-tended gardens. I am a magnet for mosquitoes so if eating outside at night, long sleeves and repellent.

Stayed all-inclusive for 7 nights, food and drinks were always great, staff were helpful. Front desk people were lovely and always willing to help organise trips to other places, they also offer restaurant bookings and transport for you in some situations. Overall great experience, only negative was that the AC system in our room seemed dated and wasn't working properly throughout our stay. Hotel offers free shuttle into main Sorrento at multiple times of the day and there are a few supermarkets/restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely recommend!
