Worst Stay Ever! DO NOT RECOMMEND. We had a week holiday booked here but ended up leaving after the first night. Would leave 0 stars if possible. Firstly, we arrived at the hotel at 2:45pm and were told the reception was closed, so we could not check in, and to come back in an hour. Now considering the location is very remote (with nothing walking distance close by to pass time) and baring in mind we had been up 12+ hours due to travel, this is not what we wanted to hear. We were neither offered to sit down and have a drink. We finally got taken to our room after lots of confusion and the staff not really aware of our booking. They looked clueless. The man took us to our room, we had book and paid for a family room with a sea view. Yet we were given only a double room (one bed - there was three of us) and it was at the back of the building. We told him we need a room with another bed and this is not what we booked. He took us to the room next door which was also looking out into the car park. Very run down and dated. Not how it was advertised on LoveHolidays “modern rooms”. The air conditioning did not work at all, and it was over 35 degrees. It was impossible to sleep. The were ants in the bed and lots of mosquitoes. The single bed was broken. It had snapped wooden slats and the mattress was only springs. There was also no amenities that was mentioned on the advert like a fridge, kettle etc. No greeting, no information pack. No info on what’s in the area, transport etc. When trying to complain and talk to the staff, they were not very friendly and spoke no English. Very poor communication. It seemed like they were only accommodating for Italians “guests” which seemed like their own family as they got the best of everything and looked like they ran the place. The hotel over all was dirty and the pool was not clean. Parking was limited but you needed a to hire a car as it was far out. Noisy young adults there in corridors until around 3:00am. No real management of the hotel. Was just. Like a youth hostel. Dinner was a disaster. Call it a restaurant? We waited a long time to be severed even though the “restaurant” was EMPTY. But all of the Italian guests were sat outside and being served very promptly. When we asked for a menu, they looked blank and said they didn’t have one. So we were given sword fish and “vegetables” which was just lettuce. All very bland and no flavours. No condiments, seasoning or dressings offered. Dirty cutlery and grubby cloth. Breakfast was very basic, not a lot of option. Lights not turning on in hallway. Overheating electrical appliances. Mould and dirt in the rooms. Shower and basin with NO hot water. Had to have freezing cold showers. Lots of health and safety risks. I could go on - but we decided to leave as soon as we could. The hotel refused to refund us so we lost out on over £1000. Absolutely shocking, do not go here!
