Hotel Ocelle Thermae & Spa - Adults Only

We visited this lovely hotel during autumn and our experience was very good. The hotel has a nice location by the lake Garda and it is close to the old town and everything that it has to offer to its visitors, including cafes, shops, gelaterias, etc.|The hotel has an attractive interior, quite modern and clean. The staff is friendly and trying to do their best to accommodate the guests needs. The breakfasts are beautiful and delicious with good choice of food, juices and even Prosecco. |The hotel does not have a full restaurant however they offer a good lunch /snack menu , which can satisfy many tastes.|The beach/ pool area is nice, the Sunbeds are comfortable and they have a pool with warm thermal water which can be quite pleasant . We did not try to swim in the lake as it was a bit chilly when we visited. |The rooms have modern twist, unfortunately we had the regular room facing the road ( we decided to book a bit late, so unfortunately there was no availability for other rooms) |, so the room is a bit small . If you have a choice try to book a room with at least partial lake view.|The hotel has a lovely spa, with jacuzzi, steam room, relaxation area. They have good massages to offer, so we tried and were satisfied. |If I have one thing to criticise is that when we were leaving , our plane was in the afternoon, so we asked for a slightly late check out the evening before, unfortunately as the hotel was almost fully booked they offered us only one hour extra but immediately said that we can use the spa lockers, be by the pool and as usual take shower and change in the spa. Fair enough and it’s always how it is in any hotel if they can’t accommodate the late check out. However the next day when we came to check out and leave our bags , the girl at the reception told us that we have to pay something to use the spa facilities ( for 2 hours) . We were shocked to hear that , first we were promised the evening before to use it, second in any hotel the guests are always offered to use the spa if they don’t / can’t allow the late check out, so we had to argue and in the end it worked out, but in the well managed hotel such thing would never ever happen. So that’s the reason I’m giving 4 star to this hotel.|On a positive note we asked the hotel for a transfer to Verona airport and their driver was a very nice gentleman and his car was top notch . The price was decent , so I would definitely recommend to use this service. |Overall good experience at Ocelle.|
