Visited for one night's B&B. Very close to the ferry stop at Zattare where we took the ferry from Fusina on the mainland. Slightly difficult to find as you have to go along the canal side and then turn right along a narrow road. Look out for other people with suitcases - good indication. The lift to the third floor and reception is slow but fortunately there is a lift. Preferible if one of you pushes the lift button as, in our case, other half read the wrong button. Reception gentleman D. most helpful especially at a busy check-in time. He also helped us out with a bottle opener which one us had left behind, and offered proper wine glasses although we had brought plastic wine glasses. "Tastes better" and he was correct. The reception covers two locations, here and another back along by the canal some 100 meters or so. We had the attic room with private terrace which was excellent, so much so we've booked again for next year as we live in next Region and are returning for a short cruise from the nearby cruise terminal at San Basilio. Room peaceful and spacious, terrace lovely, bed very comfortable and the proper curtains ensure darkness and no light disturbance. Bathroom very nice with spa bath. Easy entry and exit from same, unlike another bath we have used in another Veneziano hotel, so well done to the management for their attention to all the fittings. Complimentary proper fridge/mini bar with bottled waters, beers, soft drinks and good fruit juice. Proper sized tv of good quality should you wish to follow 'Amadeus'. Breakfast was tasty, we had good scrambled eggs, toast and proper crispy bacon. All the usual choices of ham, cheese, croissants, yogurts, juices etc are available. Breakfast service lady very helpful and courteous bringing us our choice of coffee. The rooms off the dining hall could be problematic for guests who don't wish to be disturbed with the breakfast service. The lady V. proprietor in the morning was most helpful in the morning especially as there was a lot going on with breakfasts and departures. The baggage storage was most helpful as we had places to go, and lunch, before travelling home to Fusina and our next door Region. Definitely recommend this establishment, especially the spacious attic suite with private terrace, and looking forward to our return next year.
